I got my first Hanimex lens today Smile I never tried any I did hope this lens is similar than Chinon 200mm f3.3 what is a good one. Any experience ?

the hanimex 200mm 3.3 is more likely to be a makina (makinon trade mark) manufactured lens

Quality poor

Pls send picture to confirm the lens origin

I had a Hanimex 200/3.3 in M42 mount, it was very poor, need to stop at f/5.6 to have a raver satisfying quality Rolling Eyes And the A/M switch was not good placed, not easy to switch Sad

The only Hanimex I've kept so far is the 80-200 zoom which was pretty good although very heavy to use. Not sure who made that though.

Which version ? one touch ? aperture ?

ALL (or nearly all) hanimex lenses before 1985 were made by makina optical (makinon) and makina optical quality was the most often poor or very poor
Makina was the 1st to sell a 28/85 lens (two touchs/varifocal)
They stopped to sell makina lenses only when makina went bankrupted

It's a two touch, f3.5.

I have this lens under the brand Makinon (M42) . Yet , I have also a chinon 3,3/200 K mount , a revuenon special M42 3,3/200 ...(strange , this "," aperture ?) These 3 lenses are poor at full aperture , prone to flare , yet usable at f/8 . It is easy to find better, but regarding price ... I paid my makinon copy 2€ ! Very Happy

In Argentina, Makinon lenses were sell as lenses for student, with very bad fame.

Bit better fame (not much) have the hoya lenses (a zoom 24-50 or so) was very used by students.

Who did hoya lenses, were they good? I never see one again.

Rino.

This lens was sold by makinon but it looks very very close to the miranda 80-200 ec (and 90% of miranda lenses were made by tokina)

I presume (no certitude at all) that it was made by makinon and the quality was good enough to be sold by miranda (or was it a tokina sold by both ?)

Most hoya lenses were manufactured by tokina

How about after '85? I have a 28-80mm f3.5 hanimex one-touch that seems to be a decent shooter. It is not the more common version with the writing along the edge of the lens but rather has inner name plate.

I also mistakenly bought a c-macro hanimex f4.5 80-200mm one-touch in PK mount (the seller's fault for saying it was a screw mount). It seems to be in excellent condition, maybe just a couple specs of dust internally. It probably isn't worth that much...maybe worth a trade of some sort? If not I'll be happy to give it away to anyone who might be interested.

Um, I had a 70-210 which wasn't too bad!

Much better is my 200mm f4.5 prime which is actually a Tokina, I believe...I did a 200mm flower test recently and tested it briefly then. It's on loan to a friend at the moment, but I may recall it...

Hoya lenses were made by tokina with hoya glasses ! (1st optical glass manufacturer in japan ...) Very Happy
I had the famous Makinon 4/300 in M42 mount . Impossible to get a sole correct image with it ... On french "fleabay" , a copy "travelled" two years long . I asked the serial number of the lens to the sellers ,and three times and three different sellers, it was the same ! Laughing

I have a 135/2.8 in PK mount, also saw 28/2.8, 35/2.8 and other focals. My 135/2.8 was tested (test posted on the forum : http://forum.mflenses.com/comparing-six-lenses-at-135mm-t14077.html), it is not a very good lens Rolling Eyes

Here is the 80-200mm: http://www.jr-worldwi.de/photo/index.html?Hanimex_80-200mm_4.5.html
The person has it mis-marked as a 52mm filter thread. It is 55mm. This is the lens however.

The 28-80mm looks almost identical with a stouter, thicker body and a 62mm thread. I'll get pictures up soon.
