I've red successfull conversion stories about Minolta rokkor-x 58/1.2 and bougth rokkor-x 50/1.4 and Kiron made Vivitar 28/2 but after examining the construction we've seen that it isn'n that easy to convert the MD mount to EF mount cause the construction of these lenses are all too different from each other Sad
http://www.cogitech.ca/Rokkor/index.html

So these beauties became just macro lenses (I must buy an additional glass free adapter) if I can't sell them to the price that I've bought.

I've found these K mount lenses, and their price is reasonable when condisering the 20-30$ s shiping cost of ebay lenses.

Auto Revuenon 50 mm 1,4
Tokina 60-120 mm 2,8

Should I buy these? Each have a pricetag like 75$ which means an ebay price like 50$ and I have the oportunity to try and buy but first of all I must buy a K-EF adapter.

You have not seen my page, eh?

Only few of those MC/MD lenses are (relatively speaking) easily convertable.

I believe that Tomioka 55 1.4 will hit the mirror of the 5D, at least my Cosinon 55/1.4 and Porst 55/1.4 will.

If you are looking for a 50/1.4, i think there is not much out there, i heard that the Yashica 50 / 1.4 will clear.

Well, my best friend is jst using the Rikenon 55mm F1.4 on a Canon 5d without problems. The Rikenon 55mm F1.4 was made by Yashica-Tomioka as OEM product. The Sears 55mm F1.4 is also working.

The PORST and Revuenon versions and clones differ sometimes in the way the mount is produced....and they hit the mirror.

cheers

Ayk ... is this Rikenon a PK bajonet mount?

Rikenon 55/1.4 has at least two different mount ones, one PK and the other
is M2 mount, which I have. M42 version clears 5D's mirror, so PK mount
one should clear the mirror too IMO.

The AT-X series by Tokina is often very good.
A 2.8/60-120 can be a great portrait lens. Go for it!
