Who knows the connection beetween komine (which is the best quality sub-contractor) and tokina ?

I ask this question because the rear Om mount of ALL the komine made lenses i owned (ie : vivitar s1 28/90 , vivitar 35/70 3.5 , 55mm macro 2.8 , 90mm macro 2.8...) is EXACTLY the same than my tokina made lenses (viv 70/150 , Tokina 70/210 3.5 , Tokina 100-300 5.6 ...)

Is it any connection beetween both companies or is it a third subcontractor which manufactures the mount ?

Has any seen same komine/tokina similarities with other mount (canon, nikon, pentax ..) ?

I would think that subcontractors such as Komine, Tokina, Kino, etc ...are producing lenses to certain specs & as such, the mount specs would all be the same as that is what is called for. Same for the optics. As for focus & distance scales as well as focus & zoom ring patterning, I would assume that to be less spec'd than the aforementioned thus not the same across mfg lines
As far as Komine being the best quality subcontractor, I would not agree. I would say Kino followed closely by Komine & Tokina...I have several Komine made Vivitars (90mm F2.8 macro & 24mm F2 WA among them) & some are gems while others are just so=so. Same goes for the other subcontractors. It depends on the specs they had to follow when making the particular lens.....
