For Digital Full-Frame SLR I use 0.02 mm for CoC, so the first three shots DoF is ~5.7 mm since the lens at F1.2/55mm and 60 cm distance.


100% crop around his right eye



The next two shots are by 85 mm at f2.8, distance of first one is 2 m, bottom one is 1.2 m so the bottom one has ~22 mm as DoF, top one is a bit deeper.



So I got only few successful ones after 60 shots. Sad

I like photos exhibiting narrow dof rather than great dof because they look to me more like I see things.

Wikipedia indicates the f/#of the human eye is near 2.8...

if he move too much, it is difficult to catch wide open; try when he watch television or sleep
