I read somewhere but I doubt it is true that the 105mm is based on the same optical formulae as the nikkor 105. And the lenses style remind me of the chrome / fin laden cars of that era.

I believe it will be acceptable at least , because I never seen any bad prime in this focal length. Lens itself real beauty I wish to take it some times.

Look like Sankor lenses to me.

I have a 135mm which is pretty good. I also have a 100/2.5 which looks very similar to the 105/2.4 branded Aetna, and that one is superb, especially when stopped down to f4:

Interesting. Did not know about sankor, BWDIK.
The bay has a sankor pj animorphic lens with the
same great styling. Google has sankor still in biz. I guess quality with pizzaz lasts.
