Well, I received my CZJ Sonnar 135mm 3.5 w/M42-EOS adapter in the mail today. I was desperately awaiting its arrival as I purchased an SMC Super Takumar 50mm 1.4 a couple of weeks ago, and have been wanting to put it to use.
I have been rather busy w/school and was only able to get three shots off (two are below; one was OOF from the 50mm). I am quite thrilled with these pictures.
It was kind of humorous that I did not realize the adapter is a AF-confirm model when taking shots, and just tried focusing by eye on my 350D. If I get good enough to spot by eye, I might just sell the adapter and spring for a cheapo adapter (more money for lenses, right?!)
Anyways, onto the pictures:

There are hordes of subjects in school, and you have near ideal portrait equipment. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

And your first shots show you, that every of this lenses has its own idiosyncrasy.
It is a fine thing, to explore these characteristic traits. _________________ Cameras: Sigma SA300 - Sigma SD9 - Sigma SD10

You have two very nice lenses to start your long journey...
And I have a bunch of indoor Coke can shots to test my lenses when the first show up... they are great to shoot to see sharpness/focus on the little writing and the bokeh in the background...
Those two lenses are a tough act to follow... can't wait to see how you progress with them and what your next mf lens will be... wide or long? _________________ Nothing a shot a jack and some George Jones can't fix - Gus |

The CZJ was one of 2 lenses I bought last August which started me down the slippery slope. Fantastic lens for the money. Actually it's just a fantastic lens period. Stopped down to F5.6 or smaller it's about as sharp as you ever need. Colours and bokeh are impressive. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

welcome ancient!
AF-confirm is most useful for wide angle
the 350D doesn't have the best viewfinder and confirm can be helpful in low light _________________ T* |
