Hi,

Has anyone tried this flash starblitz 250baz with a Canon 30D? Obviously, it would be used in Manual, no TTL or anything like that. Since I almost only use manual lenses, that would not be a problem Very Happy

Anybody has had this misture flahs/camera?

Thanks,

Fer

For what it is worth - I have the Starblitz 3600 BTZ and after spending quite some time on Google a couple years back, discovered that the 'trip voltage/current' to fire the unit is WAY above the rating of the switch used in the then current 10D and 300D-Rebel. I put it in the drawer and there it sat until tonight when I dug it out. I no longer have any reference websites to offer, sorry.

Fair enough. Thanks Greg.

I will put it away and wait until my "piggy money" grows enough to have a decent flash.

Thanks,

Fer

Actually, it may be OK.

I refer to this site:

given that so many old flashes seem to vary (different versions/poor tolerances?) I would be inclined to check with a multimeter to be on the safe side, but that implies the 250 baz is OK.

The 3600 BTV is a camera frying 170V, but the 3600DS is only 5v
