Located that one too, quite expensive but very rare.
Opinions?

If it's the one converted to EOS mount from GoKevinCameras it looks too damn much expensive and I also think it's a 75mm who became a 80 mm with mount conversion.

No,it is labeled as 8cm from the manufacturer. An not from Kevin.

It's true that any conversion will adversely affect collectable values, but I don't think that altering the mount can possibly change the focal length - whether it's worth having must depend on just how much the price is - "how cheap is not cheap"?

Sounds like a perfect find for your hunting scheme, Klaus. Wink

Generally all pre-war Meyer lenses are very good lot better than post war , they are same level with Carl Zeiss pre-war lenses. This lens has more collectible value than "IQ' value I think. I pay max 200-250 EUR for this lens in case of you.

Well, it is much more Attila, so I guess I let that one pass...

That's Night Primoplan. I think the lens has much higher value than €250, even if not converted. Once I had the possibility to buy Night Xenon (together with the exacta) locally. I let it go (it was about €300) and I regret it more and more...

Hmm I don't know then, I was only aware of the 80mm with EOS mount (brrr...) of GoKevinCameras, never heard of the night Primoplan.

I think if you're a collector that could be almost a museum piece as rarity, so I'd check past auctions (not eBay) and collecting circles so to have a hint of how much could be valued.

If you're on it just to use it probably a lot other lenses could be better and less expensive.

On the money side I saw a lot worst investements,

I found one which was sold together with a Night Exakta in 2008:

http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5382887

Estimate was $250 - $500, don't know the final sale price because you need to register and sign.

Edit:

I found the final price http://www.tamarkin.com/auction/summer08.htm: 380$

There should be 5 lenses for the night exakta:

Meyer Primoplan 7.5/1.9
Meyer Primoplan 8/1.9
CZJ Biotar 8/2
Schneider Xenon 8/2
Dallmeyer SS 3i/1.9

The 7.5/1.9 is probably the same design like the 35mm version. I think all of them should be adaptable via non-destructible adapter. But I never saw one on ebay Laughing

Anyway, I think all of the lenses are pretty rare.

That for searching Alessandro, I haven't seen that there.

Foudn that italian collector site about it: http://www.exakta.org/orgvp/orgvpnight/orgvpnight.html

Strange that no-one here seems to have seen or used such a lens.
