Very nice results - I really love the first one in particular.

Good to see that this lens is capable of producing such lovely imagery Wink

To receive good results from Helios-44, it is necessary to know its strong and weaknesses. For example, he does not love when the sun in front. And quality of assemblage astably - there are successful and unsuccessful copies.

I bought some books recently and the seller threw in a Helios 44-M - I haven't tried it yet, but look forward to learning about its capabilities some time soon.

Thanks for the tip about the build-quality too - I've seen some pretty incredible things with Russian lenses Wink

The Helios is a super lens, didn't realise there was a K mount version!

Yes Shrek you dont see them that often and I have 2!, Thanks for all the comments, Mal and Alex, the Helios 44 in all its variations is a great lens. the K version is really good for me because I can use it without adapters on my DSLR ( works out about the same as a Jupiter 9) and Pentax and Almaz cameras, and I must say it surprised me at how good it was. I have used various Helios 44m versions before and althougth the quality control can vary I have never had a bad Russian lens, maybe I'm lucky! ( I appreciate your comments here Sergey, I know some Soviet factories had better reputations than others, and I always use a hood on a Helios, despite the depth of body that the lens sits in). The moral is a Helios 44 is always worth trying, you can get great results with it, and if its a crap copy, buy another- they are not expensive! Very Happy Very Happy
