Just a simple test of image quality and sharpness at f2.

That is quite sharp! I wonder how it'll score against Rikenon XR 50/2, which is also supposed to be tack sharp.


Argh... I should stop worrying about 50-58mm lenses, I have plenty! Smile

Looks fine for me. I am a better judge of how I like this sort of lens when I see a portrait. I don't know why, but I am picky about sharp eyes.

2 pictures with 55/1.8 (the 5-10$ lens) wideopen. Basically the same lens. First one is unedited, the second is obviously converted to b/w, but i am not sure if there is any sharpening involved.
