Some early test shots while I get to grips with this lens. Taken on my D40 because I can trust the manual focus on that body.

ISO 400, 1/800. f/4

ISO 400, 1/250s f/8

ISO 400, 1/125s f/2.8

Horizontal shots only 500px here, sorry; they link to larger versions.

One of my all-time favorite lenses. Plus, on a 1.6 crop body like mine, it amounts to a poor man's 300/2.8 (288mm equivalent focal length).

EA-6B Prowler cockpit (Nikon F2 w/Nikkor 180 f/2.8, Fujichrome 100, exposure unrecorded):

Best,

This lens has good correction for transverse CA but is known to suffer from axial CA. So I made some tests, using Capture NX 2.2 which adds correction for axia lCA.

Above, no correction; below, correction set to 75%. These are 100% crops and were taken on a D40 @ f/2.8. Nice bright overexposed sky to help ensure vibrant fringes Smile

The purple is suppressed fairly well, the green less so.
