Hi all,

I just fed my LBA with this lens:

The full name on the ring is "Steinheil Edixa Auto-D-Tele-Quinar 135 f/3.5".
The lens performs quite well, as you can see from the shot wide open ...

... and the 100% crop:

Unluckily, its diaphragm is stuck wide open (the blades are there, i can see them through the lenses, but neither the A/M switch nor the bottom pin close them).
Is there someone that could help with instructions on how to service it ? I think it could be accessed from the bottom, but i'm not sure and i wouldn't damage it ...

Thanks in advance for your replies ...

Cheers

I have a sketch of the 135/2.8 Macro-S-Tele-Quinar; don't know if that would help but you're welcome to it.

I recently got a Makro-Quinar 100/2.8 which also had stuck blades. I won't bore you with the details, but I have managed to get myself into a situation where I cannot take it apart enough to get to the aperture mechanism, but I also don't think that I'll be able to put back together what I actually have disassembled.

So, any help on Steinheil maintenance would be much appreciated Smile

/Jens

Hello,

Unluckily, the sketches mailed by Rick weren't of much help, the 135/2.8 is far different from the 135/3.5 Embarassed ...

But, since then, i managed to get a Steinheil 135/2.8, which is perfectly working Laughing ...

Anyway, i would be interested in knowing how did you manage to disassemble your lens ... Maybe i will find a way for my 135/3.5 ...

Cheers
