I like the shots of the red bird (Cardinal ?). The last one looks like a fledgling. Is it a "red" youngster ? _________________ John |

I used a Sigma APO EX DG 50-500mm f/4-6.3 lens and a Sigma APO EX DG 1.4X TC on a Pentax K10D body. _________________ Big Dawg |

Yes the large red ones are Cardinals and the last one is a Male House Finch. The House Finch is about half the size of a Cardinal. Thank you for looking and commenting. _________________ Big Dawg |

No, not the baseball cardinals...The Alabama Redneck variety that stay here all winter for the warm weather. LOL There is a group of around 20 or so that stay here on my place all the time. _________________ Big Dawg |

LOLZ.
Actually I'm up in Massachusetts, and the cardinals around here are also pretty much year-round. Great shots, btw. Sigma APO... jealous.... _________________ Sony α7R, Pentax 67II, Kiev-60, Hasselblad 203FE, 903SWC, Graflex Norita 66, Mamiya M645 1000s, Burke & James 8x10, Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic (4x5 and 3x4), Century Graphic (2x3), R.B.
