This can add up.

Thats $145/surface, plus disassembly.

Imagine the cost of overhaul of a 7-element lens, or 15-element zoom

For RARE lenses only !

I wonder what it costs to get a MC on one element and how it would affect a non coated lens. If its only the outside of the outer element thats damaged 145$ could be worth it on alot of lenses. imho. (if you disassemble yourself)

Arax in Ukraine used to offer MC (re-)coating of lens for cheap (50 US$ per lens element including two way shipping) but this service is no more available Sad

Besides the New Zealand outfit in Attila's link, are there anyone else who can do this? I know focalpoint in US can do it, but their prices are very high, higher than this NZ guy. I wish Arax still does this Sad

There is a well renowned french repair man that do such polishing on optical lenses, along cameras and lenses repair services :

I don't know if he does MC coating or not.

You are welcome.

I haven't got yet, but I know several people who send him cameras and lenses for CLA & repair. He is well know of many collectors here in France.
