Short question: Are thoriated lenses a problem at airports? Am I better off leaving them at home?

How should I feel about having one in close proximity for a continuous six hours or so?

I'd like to take my Tomioka 55/1.2 on my next trip to Texas, since I'll probably be doing a lot of low light photography. It also appears to be a good match for the Kenko fisheye from my last thread. But if it's too much trouble I'll settle for a Zuiko 50/1.4.

Nah!
I traveled with a Yashinon 1.2/55 to Mexico last winter.
No issues. These lenses do not discharge much. It will go undetected or confuse the screener.
The Patriot act is a fools folly. Don't leave your gems at home.

I never heard about problems on airport, however I read about problem in nuclear power-plant. Security guard wanted to confiscate photographers camera, because sensors analysed it as contaminated Laughing
