Any info about this lens? Why it was never released? As I know, there's only a limited set of pre-production samples.

M42.artlimited says, that its design is 7/7 - couldn't be the problem too much air-glass surfaces, which (without MC layers) caused low contrast or too signigicant loss of sharpness at lower aperture values?

I never did see it.
Of course I'm no expert of Pancolars . Rolling Eyes

Beautiful lens.

I think that there is the unique pic that I saw of the lens.

It was made at the time of the pancolar 55/1,4, both in single coated zebra times. I beleave that in few copies too.

After this Jena did the Pancolar 80/1,8. Excelents both.

Rino.

Hi, Attila!!

It seems that in the lens of the photo there are problems in coated (it could not be separation because the first frontal element is not glue) or is a reflection of the coated.

This lens was introduced at 1968 together with Pentacon Super,
its MFD is 65cm, weigh 635g and filter diameter is 77mm. The design is
modified double Gauss style, 7elm/7grp as you know.

The above photo is very nicer one.

My wife bought a lottery ticket for CAD$39M last night. Very Happy
Although I am not confident to get some even if she won. Crying or Very sad
