The Vivitar 138 / 2.8 I've got isn't bad at all, although I haven't used it a great deal on my Sony A6000. It had a tiny bit of fungus which I've cleaned recently and I don't think I've tried it since. But I used it a lot on my Pentax K10, probably my most used 135 on that camera. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Who/what is Karl Genner?
There are a number of different vivitar 135mm lenses. The most common one seems to be the komine made (28xxxx serials) one. _________________ pentax ME super (retired)

Karl Gener was a Canadian photo store I believe, or the house brand name for a chain store. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

There are more versions of 135mm f/2.8s in Vivitar line than visible stars in the sky. But it is certainly not the Komine made Close Focusing version. _________________ Zuikoware / Rokkorprone / FDthropist

True, I have 5 or 6 different Vivitar 135's favourite being the F2.8 CF.I have not seen this version before and wondered if anyone knew who made it,probably nothing spectacular if jobbed out to mfg to go on Vivitar camera with name of Photo retailer on face. _________________ Do not trust Atoms....they make up everything. |

Komine made Vivitar.
Is that the Vivitar 90-230 / 4.5 Close focus zoom pictured with the 135 ? That's not a bad lens either, reputed to be the biggest selling zoom lens of its era. If the two are together at the right price it's a deal worth having.
