Can someone help me fix my Pentacon?
The diaphram is stuck wide open, if anyone likes to tinker with lenses I would be more than happy to ship it to you for a repair. no need to worry about screwing it up, it's already screwed!
Drop me a PM ,PLEASE!
Thanks,

So if anybody could help in this topic, it would be really fine.

Does switching the A/M switch and depressing the aperture pin have any effect?
One of my Pentacons had an issue where it would not stop down past f8; turned out to be a worn out plastic part of the A/M switch that just wasn't pressing on the aperture mechanism hard enough. So what I did was opened the back, and took off the spring on the pin mechanism. Now, the A/M switch is completely disfunctional, but I have a fully manual and functional aperture blades that stop all the way down to f16. |

Click here to see on Ebay
You will have money left over, and with the broken one, you can use to take it apart and learn about its innards |

It might be oil that got into the diaphragm.
I'm seeing this in a chinon 135mm and in a tokina (its getting slow moving the blades). I found the spring in the chinon was not very strong and it would not move the blades because of the viscosity of the grease between the blades.
Lets hope someone close to you volunteers. If not, buy another one, cuz the shipping will probably be thereabouts... _________________ TWAPSI - The World As Photography Sees It |
