100% crop (Sony A7Rii) of the above picture. Nice detai and pretty decent CA control :
Hand held shot in the middle of the woods. Changed only color balance afterwards:

To me, 135 mm is a weird focal lenght, while 150 is a round 3x standard lens |

Yes but our bags have always been full of 50 mm, while 43 mm are definitely uncommon; 50, 100, 150, 200, 250... all nicely spaced lenses, but all this matter is totally subjective |

43mm is not uncommon at all, it's just hat they are labelled 45mm usually. A lot of fixed lens cameras had 45mm lenses, the 45mm Xenar and Tessar being the best of thebunch. The Konica Hexanon 1.8/40 and the Minolta MD 2/45 are both 43mm.
50mm isn't a standard either, think of all the 55 and 58mm lenses.
I think it's best to say that anything between 40 and 60mmfor the 35mm format is 'normal'. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

No it's the first bayonet series of Pentax 'SMC Pentax 150mm f/4'. There its also a SMC takumar version (M42). |
There are:
M42 Super-Takumar 1:4/150mm Model I with 5/4 formula
M42 Super-Takumar 1:4/150mm Model II with 5/5 formula
M42 Super-Multi-Coated 1:4/150mm with 5/5 formula
K SMC Pentax
There is no Super Takumar SMC or SMC Takumar version. |
Strange.
All M42 are Takumar and when multi-coated they were named Super Multi Coated Takumar or SMC Takumar. I own some....
By the way , I have checked this K version , like many of them, is a Takumar adapted to the K bayonnet .
Optically this the same lens as the Super Takumar which I own and the Super Multi Coated Takumar . |

I believe the SMC labeled lenses have a rubberized focus ring and the Super Multi Coated labeled lenses have a steel focusing ring. |

By the way , this page from Pentax forum says that version I and II have the same optic 5/5 .
Is it wrong? I found only informations about a 5/5 scheme on internet.

Looks to be the same optics, but it's possible they have refined the formula with every generation at least I would assume so, even just asking the Enginerds if they learned anything since it was designed. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

My Super-Takumar has 43741 on the a/m switch so it must be model II |
If the switch labels are auto/man not a/m, then yes a model II.
Gerjan lists that number also for later model I, and, early model II had a/m switch labels. _________________ ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮ like attracts like! ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮
