Did Sigma ever make or assemble Leica lenses or is this unfounded internet rumor? I've been researching the Sigma 24mm superwide 2 (AF and manual), and have found gossipy information that suggests this. Any info or opinions here?

I think a couple of short zooms (35-70?) were sourced from Sigma, yes.
