A little snow

I woke this morning to the beautiful sight of a light fall of snow. It was straight out with the camera to try and capture a couple of shots.
I used the old Tamron Adaptall 1 f2.8/3.5 35-80mm, a lens I often think is sometimes better (For some subjects) than the latter SP Adaptall 2 model.
I’m hope there is a heavy fall before the end of the week. It looks promising

It is still cold here with heavy frosts and occasional attempts to snow. I popped into the garden with the old f1.8 50mm Pentacon (Cost £1.) It isn’t really sharp to well stopped down but I do like the low contrast it gives

.

In the cold weather try to give a thought to the birds and put them a little food out. You may even get a good picture for your kindness.

OMG! Last one is excellent! To manual focus this one must be hard! Congratulations! Very nice series.

Sorry the Robin shot was done with the Tamron MF SP f5.6 300mm
I posted the shot more to illustrate my seasonal feed the birds message.
Though you can get pretty close to these birds. If you feed them.

Taken last February with MF Tamron SP 35-210mm
I always use MF lenses for wildlife shots.

Birds pics are superb...
Like your near-urban wild life pics...

I love most of these...but the CONTRAST in the image of the evergreens against the black background really shows the merits of the lens.

Thank you all.

More frosty shots. f1.8 50 Pentacon lens and Lydith f3.5 30mm lens. Both have very similar characters, almost indistinguishable from each other.
The weather here has warmed up a bit now and the rain has arrived.
