I finally found the time - and a suitable state of mind - to fix my Electro GSN with a faulty exposure meter. When I had opened it - and desoldered the flash sync wires to get the top off completely, I checked the POD and surprise - it was as new. White, hard rubber or plastic. completely intact. I just cleaned some contacts I saw inside - and the exposure lights were lighting up as they should and the shutter seems to work up to 15 seconds at least.
I had some difficulties to solder the flash sync wires back again, but now the camera is in one piece, waiting for light seal replacement. I have a Jon Goodman kit, it should be rather simple, I hope.
But here´s my question: when I close the back door, there´s definite play on the upper latch side corner. I removed all old light seal materials, but the play didn´t go away. Is the door faulty or crooked, or is this normal? _________________ Markku
