This what I choose from today's trip to northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin - to show to you. I used 3 lens. Was very cold with gusty wind up to 35miles/h. Photos were taken with gloves on. Together 268 made.

Photo number 9 shows very unusual sky- My first impression was - like dragon skeleton/ribs

I'm a sucker for close-ups of deteriorating metal objects, and all the permutations of color that they hold. Thus, #6 is simply gorgeous to my eyes. I love the interaction between the rust and the lichen, with brilliant bits of pure color. The lens handled this very well, and the composition is first rate. I might have tried to leave the end of the screwbolt out of the image, but that's very minor quibble for an image of overall excellence.
