I bought this lens few months ago, and it's still sitting on a shelf.
I really like to try this lens.
Please help me on how I can mount on my 1DsMKII.
Where can I get the adapter for it...?

Is it a Pentacon 6/Kiev 60 or a Kiev 88 mount ?

If it's Pentacon 6 it's easy. Just do an ebay search for "pentacon 6 (eos or canon) adapter". There are lots of suppliers. For example

I used this supplier for a P6-Nikon adapter. It's cheap and very good. A focus confirm adapter will cost more.

If it's a Kiev 88 mount you might have more difficulty. I've just done a quick search and I can't find anything.

The Kiev 88 Nikon adapter is available

and this supplier used to sell the Kiev 88 eos canon adapter. In fact I think that he was the only one. So perhaps he's just run out.

There is also a simple ring which converts a Pentacon 6 mount into a Kiev 88 mount - same supplier as the previous listing.

Thank you for your info.
I'll have to find out tomorrow, because the lens is in my office.
How do I recognize which mount it is...?

Look at the lettering on the lens. If the "jupiter" is in Cyrillic and the letter after the "36" looks like a "b" with a small horizontal bar on the top then the letter is the Russian letter equivalent to the Roman "b" (or B!) and the mount should be Pentacon 6. If the letter is a "B" equivalent to Roman "V" then the mount should be Kiev 88. The possibility for confusion is serious and I have seen lenses with the opposite combination of lettering and mounts. Very often the dealers don't know.

The best thing to do is to look at the mount.

The fact that these are pictures of the Volna 3 is not important. I was simply looking for pictures of the two different mounts.

I've looked at the lens, and like you said, the "jupiter" is in Cyrillic and the letter after the "36" looks like a "b" with a small horizontal bar on the top.

However, I cannot pinpoint the difference of the mounts you're showing.

I don't have the camera, so I can't take a picture of mine.

Thank you so much though.

Oh, Okay.
I see it now.
The Pentacon 6 mount has 3 tabs, and Kiev 88 mount doesn't.
Mine has the 3 tabs. so I'm sure it is Pentacon 6 mount.

Thank you so much.

Now, I have to buy the adapter and try the lens.

I've heard it's pretty sharp, and its resolution is phenomenal.

Great. I've bought a few P6 lenses recently - and I'm very happy with them - but I haven't got the J36 yet. Please show us some pictures when you can.

I surely will.

if my memory serves well, I think Orio had it, and he rated the lens very highly.

I own this lens (for my Kiev 6C). I had the chance to compare it with Sonnar 180/2.8 (on the slide) old version (no MC), and I really liked Jupiter more. Especially on closed diaphragms.

However I have to admit that Sonnar was not in the best condition.
