Hey people!I hope you enjoy... all shot with the Lumix G1

^ SMC Takumar 50 1.4 @ 2.8 ^

^ SMC Takumar 50 1.4 @ 1.4 ^

^ Minolta MD 24mm 2.8 @ 5.6 ^

^ Minolta MD 24mm 2.8 @ 2.8 ^

^ Minolta 21mm 2.8 MC Rokkor NL ^

^ Minolta 21mm 2.8 MC Rokkor NL @ 2.8 ^

^ Minolta 21mm 2.8 MC Rokkor NL @ 2.8 ^

The Minolta 21mm has some fungus on the rear element, but the lens is sharp even wide open, the bokeh is so so, and there is some weird CA

I'm planing on using those lenses for some serious movie stuff on the GH1

and let me know if you want the full sized files or any crops

thanks!!

With a gun to by back I'd say I prefer the Minolta look, but there's no comparable Minolta lens to compare against the Takumar *shrugs*

I agree with LucisPictor; #2 & #4. The view in #5 is also beautiful.

Personally, I think there are comparable Minolta lenses. There are MC & MD 50mm F1.4, and I have a couple of MC 58mm F1.4, one of which is exceptional!!
I did some tests, and these lenses were superior to the Super-Takumar 50mm F1.4

I have an S-M-C Takumar and an SMC Takumar 50mm F1.4, but I have not tested them against the Minoltas yet.

Of course I mean there're no comparable Minolta lenses tested at the same time against the SMC Takumar 50/1.4, but I would not be too surprised if the MC/MD Minoltas at least hold their own against the comparable Takumars.

Nice photos. For me, #2 & #4, the best among the lots.

Taken with Min MC 50 1.4 wide open on my Sony. How was the picture quality after the mounting conversion?

I like the samples.

The Tak lens performs OK, I still feel it's highly overrated. @ 1.4 pic#2 is quite soft, which is OK for a portrait. I prefer bright crisp eyes in portraits so I tend to stop down a bit when shooting like this.

Nice smaple though, the composition of #2 is near perfect.
