Wondering if anyone here would have had any experience with the Kiron 85-210mm f3.8. I really can't find any info on it. Is it worthwhile to get in m42 mount for a canon 40D? It's vivitar branded by the way.

Sharpness, bokeh, color, ect. ect.

Very fine and very common lens, certainly worth getting.

But don't pay too much, there are so many always available you are sure to find a good deal anytime. They were also sold under many, many names.

What would you consider a reasonable price?

It's decent. Nothing special, not a dog. Check out the Kiron 70-210 f/4 with zoom-lock. It ROCKS!
