It is not a bad lens and it is certainly a novelty or just a handy thing to put in your pocket. It is a Tessar design so say no more. I would certainly rather have and use it than some of the other cheap 50mm lenses.
I used mine the other day for some low sun high contrast shots and results were OK. It is also fairly good with a 10/12mm tube, again a pocket close up lens.
They are fairly common on boot sales and charity shops so worth have for a couple of pounds. _________________ Pentax K10D & K100D. Many Tamron Adaptall SP lenses, Fujinon f4.5 400mm. A loved Lens Baby 2, Lubitel triplet +++ and many film cameras. Mainly a Digital user inc G5, GR2

I paid £6 for the Industar a 30mm Lydith and a Zenit camera. Gave the camera away and have now put the Lydith right at the back of the cupboard so I'm not tempted to waste any more shots with it. _________________ Pentax K10D & K100D. I second that question! My version, re-branded as pentacon, is a wonderful lens. |

I'm not really convinced by the results of my I50-2. It doesn't seem to match up to the old silver M39 I50 I had years ago. Has anyone else compared them? _________________ Peter - Moderator |
