I've put a page of test photos taken with a CZJ Biometar 2.8/120 for P6 to http://galactinus.net/vilva/retro/eos350d_biometar.html.

This lens among a few others was sent to me for testing, in case I was interested. However, I found out that my P6-to-M42 adapter couldn't accommodate all of the P6 lenses as the structure of the adapter prevented infinity focus - the back element of the lenses hit a wall. Consequently, I didn't test all the lenses as I hadn't time or energy to try to modify the adapter.

Hi, Veijo!

Great that you're back! I was really missing you and almost started a "want ad".
And the shots you bring along show one of the reasons why I missed you!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I just used it on the P6 but I could test it on the Nikon D80 trhough p6-Nikon tilt adapter.

Your shots confirm what I did know, very sharp (despite some people on the web say the opposite) and with a bokeh similar to the Planar lenses.

Veijo / Attila is there some way we can link these reviews to our forum on a simple basis. Veijo these last two reviews by example are stellar. I cant wait to lay my hands on this lens (I have a few P6's already and love them all).

Hi, thanks. I've been lurking every now and then, but had no time or energy for anything else.

Well, it really isn't possible to say much about the sharpness on the basis of just web sized images, but the full-size versions are quite decent although not spectacular.

Infinity worked with this lens but not with a 65mm CZJ Flektogon or with a 80mm CZJ Tessar.

Does it exist Biometar 120/2.8 with screw-mount (M39 or M42)? I have a possibility to buy one, but the seller asserts, that the lens has screw, not a mount...

The Biometar 120 was made in both Exakta and P6 mounts but AFAIK never in native M42 or M39 - the one you mention is probably a P6 mount with an M42 adapter.
