http://cgi.ebay.com/Kiev-88-Salyut-C-Lens-to-M42-screw-mount-Camera-Adapter_W0QQitemZ350105706071QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item350105706071&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Thought this was a pretty good find. I never see to many of these come up and when they do they are always unnecessarily expensive. Not that this one is a giveaway, just cheaper than most. Just be sure to save me one should I decide to buy it. Haha

I was wondering what everyone thought of this conundrum - I have had a Mir 38B (V) for quite some time now that came off a broken Kiev 88 system my brother gave to me. I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy the adapter and use it as a semi-short portrait lens or just sell the lens and save up for something better? I know Orio loves the results he gets with his but it is a somewhat odd focal length for 35mm format.

Thanks everyone
~Marc

Thanks for the information. The Kiev 88 lenses are sometimes much cheaper than the Kiev 88CM lenses. I've so far resisted because of the lack of an adapter- until now!

As far I am only one who bought this adapter.
It works! I hope for you, too.

To Pentax K10D was attached Arsat 3.5/30 with kiev-88 mount

Great voytek. You really seem to have a good relationship with these med format lenses. I sometimes have a hard time getting to know them on my nikon.

It actually went up in price! I believe it was at $27 when I originally posted. Maybe they got wind of the price these things usually are sold at...
