Yes, I saw that when it was first listed. But: "The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale."

And you would have thought that for 55,000 US, they could have shown a few pictures through it.

I must be missing something. That's a 14" reflecting telescope. I can buy an "optical tube assembly" (just the optics, no mount) which is basically what's sitting there for 1/10th that. Heck, Celestron's *list* price for that OTA is under $10k. It's nowhere near that big, either.

Yeah, the Celestron is only f/11, so it's about 3900mm. But all these optics are going to be diffraction limited, so I doubt there's going to be any difference in image quality. Meade makes a 16" f/10 if you like. Wink
