This weekend I finally got a chance to test this lens.
I think it proves to be good value for the money (25$).

Fine examples of Meyer colors and bokeh.

I found out that for "pastel" colors (included portraits) Meyer lenses delivers very nice hues while Zeiss (Jena and Contax even more) and Nikkors are a bit cooler. And I also prefer the lower contrast because it make the scenery "peaceful".

Is it just my impression?

Yet another underdog lens showing its merit! GREAT images, too!

Very nice indeed!

And the little sparkle of light in the dog´s eye really makes the picture!

One of my favorites 135mm ... Thanks to the bokeh, colors (not so saturated) , the controlable contrast ...Alessandro , you found exactly the rendition of this lens !
I 'll open another topic for another Meyer lens...

Thanks all, for your nice remarks.

Alessandro, you managed to describe in words what i have felt about this lens and the Pentacon 4/200 compared to my Nikkors (especially the Zoom Nikkor). It's mostly the contrast I guess, but also the colour rendition that makes the difference.

The picture below taken with the Pentacon illustrates this (I think). A rather plain picture of a duck, but somehow the colour scheme makes it a bit more appealing.

I just got outbid on one of these.

It was attached to a Zenit and that was the main thrust of the advert. I was hoping that everyone else missed it. Sadly not Evil or Very Mad
