Seimar is a merchants trademark, they seem to have sold the same generic stuff in the 1970's as Hanimex et. al. Some of their stuff was good, like the Kiron 85-205/3.8. It might be good, it might be bad, it should be very cheap.
Travenar was a trademark of Shacht of Ulm, a quality German lensmaker that went out of business in the 1960's. If its made in Japan, it is probably a generic lens for which someone bought the Schacht trademarks. A picture would be interesting.
Tamrons are generally good. This site reviews all the Adaptalls -

The gents here should give you chapter and verse on Helios ! Upshot - good, but don't pay too much. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
