i've been looking at volna-3, jupiter-9, nikkor is just too expencive
for volna I need kiev 60 or kiev 88 adapter and for jupiter m42 adapter, which one do you recommend volna 3 or jupiter 9

With Jupiter-9 you will miss infinity, with Volna you can reach.

Nikkor 85mm f1.8 NON-AI frequently going on low price even if AI converted already.

If you really want a Jupiter 9 I have one.
It is one that I got from Richard for a friend of mine.
She had a finance problem and had to sell it back to me.
I do not use Nikon. The lens has a Nikon mount and is a silver model.
Send me a PM if you are interested and I can make photos for you and get a price plus quote for post cost Cool

I have both. I use the Jupiter 9 with an adapter which has an optical element and gives infinity focus. However the adapter is expensive (30 GBP). I acquired the Volna 3 only recently and, so far, I like it alot. Even though it is a large lens I find it has a nice balance on the Nikon D40x. Mechanical adapters for the Pentacon 6/ Kiev 88CM version are readily available and a source of adapters for the Kiev 88 version has appeared recently (see Marketplace on this forum). Edit. Sorry these are Kiev 88 to M42.
