Thought I'd try to post my first pics. All taken hand held with the K20D around 80mm with some cropping and processing. Here's a few taken using flash. Just really started experimenting with flash recently. Have been a believer in natural light, but have also found it limiting to some degree. I think that most of the dislike I have with flash is my lack of experience with it. Confused So I'll keep trying.

Shot of an empty cicada shell. Found it lying on the ground around one of our beehives and "posed" it on this piece of wood.

Watching bees coming and going at a hive and this one loaded with pollen landed on the camera strap.


This one landed a some grass in front of the hive. Could have used better positioning of the flash, but shows her all loaded down with pollen.


Another one that could have used better flash positioning, but still liked the shot. (Click on the picture for full-size image)

The first one looks a bit like "Alien "(the movie)
