On this Finnish forum, theres fairly often Russian lenses and cameras.
In the sixties, seventies and eighties, the Finns liked to travel to Soviet Union, mainly to get drunk cheaply. "Vodka Tourists" like we say.
Anyway, many traded jeans or some Western commodities for roubles at the black market, and they had to spend them somehow. Along with vodka and matryoshka dolls, Russian cameras and other optical products were regarded to have good quality/price ratio.

So many Kievs and Zenits found their way in the Finnish cupboards.

If you like to check, go to www.huuto.net, then you can choose
Haku (Search) from the blue column. If you click Osastot (Categories), you can choose Harrastukset (Hobbies) from the list, and then choose
Valokuvaus (Photography) from the list on right. Lenses are Objektiivit in Finnish.

The prices are generally not cheap, But who knows.
