Congratulations. I thought that I'd picked a winner when I bought this one :

Click here to see on Ebay

It was very soft, with low contrast and lots of CA. The listing is MY sale.

Thanks and good luck with your business. Mine too has chromatic aberrations but there are „predictible“ and easy to correct straight in the raw converter. The only thing that doesn't fully pleases me is the focus — it's a little bit too stiff for my taste, probably i'll open the lens and relubricate the helix some day.

Here's a 100% crop of the 8th sample, photo as recorded by the camera, Adobe Raw Convertor with all sliders set to 0.

Thanks for showing me that. I could live with it. Mine was much worse.

I'm not sure that I'm quite a business - yet. But I try to keep ahead - or at least break even. I think I made 1-2 GBP (after, post, ebays fees, etc.)) on this lens.

Giving the situation was good enough that you succeed to lose the lens Smile
Anyway, more samples from today (I forgot to record the aperture but i remember that it didn't pass f8. At some point I used also some macro rings.

And a 100% crop from the last one:

This one is for sure shot with the rings:

According to this post, looks like my Vivitar is a Komine lens. Now, who's Komine? Embarassed

what a awful lens. if I ever got one like this it will go directly to the rubbish
imagine how bad it will look on the new 15 & 20Mpixels
even my underdog zuiko 135 is better than that, my takumar 135 is even better
better buy a p&s, not much expansive Mr. Green
anywat, congrats for your new buy

Thanks. A Takumar is on the way. At this point it's the best 135mm i have and i love it.

Takumar 135 arrived. Looks great but i might have a small problem. The front caps is a metal Honeywell Pentax and looks like i cannot put it on when the metal hood is screwed. Is this normal behavior or there's a problem indeed? Thank you guys.

Thats normal behavior.
