I was in a birthday party last saturday...
I had my camera with me there and took some handheld shots in a VERY
bad light...

http://www.pbase.com/tanheis/birthday_party
Lenses used:
SMC Takumar
Nikon 105/1.8
Zeiss Planar 85/1.4
One with Canon 80-200 2.8L

There was candle + very dim lights inside... But the atmosphere was better that way Smile

What is funny is that... I checked and adjusted levels a bit with my home
monitor and when I watched the photos at work with 150€ 19" LCD monitor and they looked DARK with BAD dynamics... well it was because that monitor... It has crabby dynamic from dark to bright...

Images look a lot better with my home monitor... well.. this is quite a bit
stupid... when you make something you hate them with another display Smile
I could not change the brightness and contrast to make them look good enough...

Some from yesterday...

Bigger

100% crop

Shot with Zeiss Planar 85/1.4 with a little extension... stopped down at least to 5.6

I like the people at the party. Everyone seems to possess a certain "serenity".

Just checked the birthday party pics, my uncle had a '59 caddy in the same
color as this one! Definitely a step back in time...beautiful shots!
