Took this "portrait" with the Nikon and the Pentacon today.
For some reason I tend to get better pictures with that combination than with the Pentax. Maybe the size of the Nikon is better when shooting hand-held with a heavy lens. Irritating with the infinity focus though. I missed a potentially good shot of a heron, because I couldn't get near enough.

Rich and creamy colors! The lens renders some fine output...and the photographer (Sven) shows inimitable skills of composition. Shocked

NICE image, Sven. VERY nice....

Excellent. This forum constantly produces pictures which make me say " I wish that I could do that !". This is one of them.

Very nice. For infinity look for an AI version of the nikkor 200/4. Not the absolute best but very very good.

I often get that feeling as well, browsing through this forum.

Thanks guys for your kind remarks.

This lens actually surprises me a bit. I bought it many years ago for my first SRL, a Praktika and it then came to use on the Spotmatic. I didn't think much of it back then and it has been laying dormant for many years until a bought an M42 adapter (glassless) for the Nikon.
