British author Ivor Matanle seems impressed with the 135/3.5 in his book Classic SLRs. Scarce, as the FTL was only marketed for about two years.

A whole set just was sold on ebay some days ago, even for nice prices.
I was thinking about bidding, but I have other plans ATM. Wink

Klaus, I also have the 28mm, which I don't find very good -- but I would like to hear your opinion about it, as I might have a bad sample.

I also have the 135/3.5 which is a very good lens: sharp, contrasty and well built. It's the most compact 135/3.5 I have and it even has a collapsible built-in shade.

Here are some picture taken during last Summer in France with this lens (no sharpening or post processing of any kind, only automatic resizing by Zenfolio graphics engine):

Cheers!

Very good 135 mm. I never see one. Can you show us your FTL lenses?

Rino.

Abbazz: I especially love the third image, of the domed building peeking up over the tree line. NICE composition, very pleasing.

There is a very nice web page put together by John Foster about the FTL series with much better pictures of the lenses that I would be able to take. Here's the link:

So why would that be a "not so good" lens?? The 135mm pics look pretty good to me too.

Mine performs quite well, don't have pics handy here.

The site you quoted I know well, this was actually what I found after I got the 28mm FTL lens.
