Hi there,

I still have my Praktica BX21 with various lenses and I'm currently considering to buying me this russian multi adapter for my Oly E-410.

So here's my question:

How good is the Pentacon Prakticar 1.8/50 (PB mount, 2nd Version)??

I searched nearly everywhere for a review about this lens but couldn't find one. I only heard that it is just the PB version of the M42 Pancolar 1.8/50 but don't know if this is true.

Does anybody have experience about the lens or ever compared it to others??

Thanks in advance,

Hansaplast

This 2nd version is same as Meyer's Oreston 50/1.8 with a different
coating, but it is a pretty good lens comparable to Pancolar 50/1.8
except at the wide open. Pancolor 50/1.8 performs better at f1.8,
after f5.6 you cannot tell which is which. Of couse the most of 50mm
lens are same at f5.6 or over roughly speaking thou. Very Happy

Cool, thanks a lot for the info.

I think I'm going to buy me the russian multi adapter to use my old PB lenses. Does anyone know if I can focus to infinity with the adapter??

I have this adapter for almost 3/4 year. It looks rather fragile but the construction is rather stiff. With my lenses i can get infinity. The dandalionchip makes it necessery that you change the exposure in Av mode. I had to go between -1 and -2
