Is it worth it?

I think that is right about the normal selling price for that lens in good condition. If you need it, buy it. Quality fast glass is always nice to have.

Lovely lens - but if the extra speed of the 1.8 vs 2.5 is not really necessary you can get the same IQ for a lot less with the 105/2.5. It's also fairly chunky piece of glass. All that said, I love mine.

Not used one but 200 euro's sounds pretty cheap - a 105/1.8 will set you back around 225-325 gbp over here at the moment from an average dealer

200 EUR is a real bargain.

Hi

I think the price will be 230€ including shipping...
The lens is like a new... But it has those rabbit ears removed (I do not need them) and a hole for stop screw...

Here is couple photos of the lens.

Attila - If I take it and my wife kill's me after hearing the price I again spent
to camera lens will you get it from me? Very Happy

I've seen this type of modifications on 105/1.8 before and apparently these lenses comes from some kind of machine application.

I believe these lenses operates normally but buyers might consider plugging these holes to avoid additional dust and dirt to get inside.

When I was in college (almost 20 years ago!) my Canon FD 85/1.2 was in the repair shop, so I borrowed a friend's camera and Nikkor 105/1.8 for a couple of days. I recall the Nikon lens being similar in quality to the Canon. And the Canon 85 was one of my favorite FD lenses. The 105 is a little bit longer and heavier than the 85, but not enough that it would influence my purchasing decision. I often check KEH.com to get a ballpark value of a lens. Though that's more difficult for those of you overseas because currency exchange rates can skew things a bit.

I got the lens today...
Took some shots when going home.
All shots wide-open and handheld...
Bad cloudy and rainy weather.

Last 3 shots are in the forest... poor light.
