Late Pentax reused Takumar name for his economic lens
This one have a good price/value

Super-Takumar devotees look down on the "Takumar Bayonet" because this was Pentax's budget line from 1980-1988. So it's not at the same quality level as the screw-mount Takumars of the 1960's and '70s.

That said, I have a Takumar-A 70-200mm f/4 constant (got it for $30 or so...) and at 135mm wide-open, it compares well to the SMC-Pentax M 135mm f3.5 wide-open. At least for me: maybe I don't critical-focus well enough. But the Pentax 135/3.5 prime is very highly rated.

I also have a 135mm f/2.5 Takumar Bayonet (another budget lens). At f/2.5 it has a lot of CA but at f/4 it's possibly even a bit sharper than the SMC-M 135/3.5. I have not compared it to my Zeiss Jena 135mm though...

In summary: the "Pentax purists" will turn their noses up at the Takumar bayonet lenses. But I personally think they are OK and the build quality is still much better than modern consumer lenses.
