In my test, it is a POS
it is the only macro lens who got only 2 stars on a max of five
and a price/value of 1 star
they say it's a shame to put Zeiss name on this kind of POS

I think this is labeled only to Zeiss

In CZJ, the pancolar focus from 0,35 cm (and the macro lens from 0,25). The pentacon 1,8/50 from 0,33 cm - meyer lens, no CZJ.

Do you need the 0,10 cm ?

If you really need this, well, others macro lenses focus closer.

Rino.

So this is strictly a marketing thing?
Like I said I never heard of this lens.
POS is pretty much the general consensus Laughing

Koji have it, this lens made in the last years of Jena.Let we see his opinion.

OKAY, this macro lens is genuine CZJ made. It goes only to 1:2.2 in macro.
The IQ as macro is not too sharp as you expect as a macro, however it has
gentle rendition good for people shot IMO. This has the least Zeiss like colour
pop, but it is easier to use for today's dSLR.

The optical design is quite similar to Kino-Plasmat, I guess by seeing its
optical design. But that is my guess, so do not believe it. Very Happy

This lens is not made plenty so its price is not too low even today,
if you find Macro-Pancolar 55/2.8, this is VERY VERY RARE lens, grab it.
And pass it to me. Mr. Green Optically the both lens are same.

My ads is here >

(When you see the photos in PBASE, click to "original" lease.
Since the colours in Original and other size are different, normally worse
in a small sizes. It sucks.)
End ads.

By the way, it is not a POS. But you may not like it. Surprised

I have to apologize for using 'POS'
I just learn this new word in this forum and I was happy to use it
