I bought a Canon 6D second hand needs to my photography application project. I am curious about your opinion about this camera.

Last year i looked for 'something full frame Canon'. Choice at that moment was between 5DMkIII's that were all more or less heavy used and 6D's with low shuttercount and most looking unused.
After reading some reviews i decided that for my use a 6D would be more than sufficient. I found one with about 13k shuttercount and looking as good as new for a very reasonable price.

I use the 6D most with AF-lenses (for MF i use Sony A7R2) and after some 18 months of use i am still very happy with it.

Nice to hear, thank you! I had for a short while 5D2 I found it was bulky and no benefit to use it next to Sony A7R. Now I have A7R2 as main camera, A7R backup only. Might be the new gadget excitement but I like this 6D. I have only one lens a Tamron SP 28-75 f2.8 , i am not really amazed Smile I found not much better or not better all than old zoom lenses, just night light weight.

Step son is using my old 5D Classic for a photography class! Smile

Canon EF DSLR mirror likes to hit many MF lenses 50mm and wider. 6D I don't know. Should be a list of lenses that hit someplace. 5D list might be same.

Optical Viewfinder focus screen unable to see past f/2.8. 5D can easy use different focus screen for focusing fast lens. 6D I don't know if focus screen easy to replace. Also note faster focus screen makes Viewfinder darker at f/5.6 and smaller settings.

Eg-A II provided. Interchangeable with Eg-D and Eg-S.

the Eg-S for fast MF lenses focussing.

EDIT2:

cannot adapt Minolta, among others. nikon and most m42 55mm & longer ok.

YOU have the camera ... Tell us about it Wink ...

My only "real" digital Canon (i. e. not APS-C) is a Canon EOS 1D MkII (8 MP APS-H). That on is as beast ... big, heavy, and one solid chunk ...!!

At first glance I like better than other DSLR that I hold until now, but still I love Sony mirror lens like more.
6D size is nice really, how to handle settings nice as well.
