There really was a woman. Dentist - she lent me her dental machine. With the help of a thin drill that I inserted into the narrow space of the Summicron, I sawed off the lever going to the petals of the diaphragm. This lever interfered with my work. I risked damaging the excellent optics. So she's entitled to some of my work. I've never owned a dental machine.
