I use Xtol and Rodinal to develop my black and white film. I was told Xtol stock and Rodinal are one shot developers once diluted... here are my own findings - http://matthewosbornephotography.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/film-photography-xtol-rodinal-one-shot/

you were told incorrectly, stock XTol is NOT one-shot. you can use it at least for 2months to develop ~15 films/liter. you are discovering america;)
