I was shooting with a Topcon GN 50/1.4 this weekend and the bokeh made me think of this thread. It seems to have very strange bokeh when the background is very bright and busy. It also has some pincushion distortion that is easily correctable in post processing. Fun lens to shoot with.. Instantly one of my favs.
Rings and exploding bubbles..
sometimes the rings are so bright it looks like I'm using a mirror lens
I think this one was at f2.8 and looks a little more normal... hexagons
Weird bokeh looks like additional flowers in the bush
it does cat's eyes too
lessen the highlights and it just looks nervous

Very beautiful pictures !
Here's what you can do with a Rolley 35 lens connected to a Sony Nex :
Tessar :
Sonnar :
I blocked the diaphragm fully open, and I use the triangular shutter as a diaphragm.
What is interesting is that the triangular bokeh answers the net topic : On the first photo, the lace bokeh recalls the fine lace of the poppy petals.
On the second, the triangular form forms large triangles which respond to the triangular shape of the spider web.
These are two examples, but I have others!
[edit : I tried 10 times, the pictures does'nt display Grrr!]
