Hi and thank you for your comment.
This lens has no aperture blades and can only takes pictures wide open at f:1.5.
This is a M42 lens which was part of a russian night seeing combo. _________________ Olivier - Moderator

Yes. Not a runaround lens... Interesting for artistic pleasures and surprises.
Everything's ok on my side.

Forenseil, thank you for this point.
I don't know but I find it gives a lot of aberrations.
I opened it and checked front lenses. Nothing really obvious here. I screwed tightly back.
I opened the rear and found the back glass loose. I put it back and screwed it tightly.
IQ iis far better : far less glowing and sharpness improves.
I'll dismount it again to clean glasses well and relub the helicoid. Whet kind of grease do you advice ? _________________ Olivier - Moderator

I like the first one a lot,the lens certainly has potential. Did you adjust the effect of the strong back light at all? I hope to see some more images after the CLA. _________________ Moira, Moderator

Thank you Moïra !
The first one was shot with the Olympus Pen E-P2, directly in JPeg.
I did no adjustment.

Shake the lens and listen for a noise. Mine had the rear element loose when I first got it, but it provided the most extreme bokeh that way. Also, try underexposing by a full stop to help with the blown out bright areas. I sometimes underexpose by more if conditions allow. My last outing I was maxed out at 1/4000 and the images suffered for it. _________________ Regards,

Today was shiny, so I tried the CLA Cyclop after readjusting the infinity which I lost during the operation.
Fortunately, I stuck a scotch tape on the barrel to keep the helicoid position and managed to screw the back on place as it was before the operation.
Thx to the good topics around here, I managed to make this lens work.
Results with shiny weather.
Some spring photographies.

Oh, and I mounted a 67mm screwing metal hood.
Previous serie (above) under grey weather shows that it's interesting for shooting such lenses.
Moïra, it is a promising lens and I'm happy that CLA worked.
It is a portrait lens.
