Did that little lens really make those beautiful pictures? Incredible!

Peter , I'll certainly make a comparison beetween my 35mm . I'm not sure this tiny thing would be the worst among : Fleks ( 2 versions) , Mir-1 (2 versions), Auto-Yashinon 2,8, Pentax 3,5, Ennalyt (2 differents copies), primagon meyer, revuenon, chinon , beroflex, and a couple of other rebranded ones.
This lens is always in my bag ...
What is incredible , is the ability of this lens to give good pics at long distance (infinity) , the macro functionality , the size, the light weight . Cons : not very luminous , preset diaohragm.
Accessories are 49mm diameter. Contrast is improved by setting a sunshade.

Thanks Helios!

In any event, this is a great lens! If I have the opportunity, I will also buy one

I'm very keen to see the results - I'm a real fan of 35mm, even though I only have four Smile Judging by the picture of the Chateau, I think all the other lenses will be pushed to compete.

My picture of Edinburgh recently was with another small lens, the Indy 3.5/50. It seems incredible to me that all that detail can squeeze through such tiny lenses. Interesting you feel the preset is a con - I really like using presets, especially with AE on the Canon.

If your Flek is good, maybe try a different film? Something with a nice fine grain, like Ilford FP4? I have never had great results from XP2.

Puplet
Thank you. I will try a finer grain ones, or more sharp film.

Helios

They are ridiculously good! I cannot believe an indeterminate lens like that can perform so well. Thanks for the information and the stunning samples

HELIOS

It can be that Steinheil did the nice lens that you have. Remember that Steinheil did a macrolens of 35 mm. to exakta and in m42 (specially the 100 mm ones was very good).

To enjoy, not?
