I too at first thought that the 2.8/29 I have was CZJ, but it appears they are all Pentacon, even if there's not written "Pentacon" on them.
It is anyway a very good lens to buy if you accept to consider it a f/4 if not even a f/5.6
Wide open is just unuseable (unless you want to shoot dream images)
Stopped down it's impressively sharp and well saturated. _________________ Orio, Administrator

I have found a "Carl Zeiss Jena" 2.8/28:
Click here to see on Ebay
which is MADE IN JAPAN (!!!)
and looks totally a fake like the Japanese Helioses
In fact you can easily tell just by the way they write the lens data.
Zeiss would always write "2.8/28"
while this lens writes "F = 28 mm 1:2.8"
Which is totally a Japanese way of writing.
So BEWARE!!!!!
It may look like a Carl Zeiss Jena - but it's not. _________________ Orio, Administrator

It's more than that, it's made in Japan (I mean the one I have linked to), it's a japanese lens with a German name. _________________ Orio, Administrator
